Title:  CAITTAIL KEEPERS

Medium:  Digital Photograph, Photoshop,
Lightroom

Dimensions: 6000X4000

Concept: Cattail mats were part of the traditional homes of the Meskwaki people during the winter months. Due to modern technology, this art form has been forgotten. Recently, these women took it upon themselves to revitalize this lost art. The light and angle are purposeful: the younger generations can see what can be done when we work together. The light shines on them from the dark. We lost something, and now it is shining as brightly as ever. It is lost art no more.
